Marcus Handl, Austrian citizen born in 1970, is acting as President of Simex Integraciòn de Sistemas S.A.P.I de C.V., Mexico, as well as Vice President of Kapsch TrafficCom Transportation, formerly operating as Telvent Tráfico y Transporte. As Executive Vice President of Kapsch TrafficCom AG, he is further responsible for Corporate Development which consists of Mergers & Acquisitions, Strategy and Corporate Innovation. Marcus Handl is also member of the Kapsch TrafficCom Global Leadership Team.
Marcus Handl joined the Kapsch Group in the year 2000 and started his career as Assistant to the CEO Georg Kapsch. In 2002, he became the Head of Corporate Development and Mergers & Acquisitions. During this time and for five years, he also acted as Chief Financial Officer of Shoe&Shirt Beteiligungs GmbH, a Kapsch investment in the fashion industry. In June 2007, he joined Kapsch TrafficCom AG where he led the Initial Public Offering at the Vienna Stock Exchange and thereafter acted as Investor Relations Officer as well as Compliance Officer until March 2016.
Prior to joining Kapsch, Marcus Handl worked as a self-employed Management Consultant, beside others for Contrast Management Consulting, for three years. Marcus Handl studied International Business Administration with specialization on Corporate Management at the Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration and completed the Master-Program at the Community of European Management Schools with an exchange semester at the ESADE University in Barcelona, Spain.
